I love Susan Cooper’s Dark is Rising series; I spent one midwinter stitching along to the audiobook of TDIR, letting the needle go where the text took me. Greenwich is possibly my favourite of the series though.
You are so on a roll here! I am really struggling to get through as many books as I'd like, and often find myself reading lots online, which is fine, but I need to get back into a better reading habit! Thanks for sharing some great titles here - and thanks for the shout out :)
Thanks Kate! Honestly the biggest reason I’m reading so much right now is that I banned myself from my phone in the mornings and evenings. Really helped pushed me off the Internet and back to books!
I just finished The Forgery of Venus by Michael Gruber which gets a 4 star rating from me and a place on the reread pile. It prompted me to pull out The Vanishing Man by Laura Cumming, (about Velasquez) now a satisfying reread in progress. Cumming also wrote Thunderclap about the Dutch Golden Age (with a focus on Fabritius) which I finished earlier this month and that has me scheduling The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt to read again over the autumn. I love the way certain reads weave together.

Oh, that’s amazing! I bet the finished piece is incredible. And I have a feeling Greenwitch might end up being my favorite as well.

That sounds like a great idea; I think I need to do the same!
Thanks so much for your thoughts on these books. I'm intrigued by "Greenwitch" as I love listening to audio books as I knit.
I would highly recommend it! I think it could even be read (listened to) without reading the first two books in the series, actually.

Oh what wonderful recommendations! I love to hear which books people are re-reading, I feel that’s a really good indicator of an amazing book.
